Eko Prasetyo is the Information and Communication Technology (Digital Technology) for Development Officer at Practical Action; he supports the Policy and Practice team scoping the organisation’s work on digital technologies. Eko is interested in the roles of technologies for social change, particularly in the areas of mobile technology, open data and eGovernment. He has an MSc in ICT4D from University of Manchester and practical experience of working with people on the ground implementing and evaluating ICT initiatives. He worked for several organisations before joining Practical Action; including Open Knowledge International, Web Foundation, Jhpiego and UNESCO’s Office in Jakarta. Outside the office, he enjoys cycling and watching indie films.
