Rob Cartridge Knowledge

Rob leads Practical Action’s Knowledge Work. Supporting Knowledge and Learning staff across the Practical Action Group Rob is currently leading a cross organisational effort to become a Learning Organisation. He continues to co-ordinate the Practical Answers International knowledge sharing service, which has grown out of a technical enquiries service over the last decade. The service shares information with more than 2 million people per year and answers more than 100,000 technical enquiries. Rob also leads the knowledge work for the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance which has established the Flood Resilience Portal.

Rob co-chairs the UK based International NGO Knowledge Management and Learning Group  – which aims to share learning between knowledge managers.  He is also a member of the steering committee of KnowledgePoint – a collaborative project run by Practical Action, Red-R, WaterAid and IRC. Prior to joining Practical Action Rob was Director of Bromley Refugee Network and Campaigns Director at War on Want.
